I really like this place I get the pork sausage breakfast with the plane waffle. The breakfast it's good just like any other breakfast it comes with a they go, but you can switch it for some other type of bread, but the waffle is really good. It is light not dense and thick like other places. I can eat one too my self. Most place I can not even finish one. I usually would get the breakfast sausage combo first and ask for the waffle later that way the waffle comes out fresh. They serve they are waffles with hot syrup. You can also ask for maple. The people here are really nice. The place here is a little on the old out dated side but you can sit out side. It's kinda smell like an old person's house.
Tons of brunch choices and nice ambience. Pre-pandemic there was always a long wait but now it's much better and usually get seated right away with both indoor and outdoor dining options.
Stacks is one of my favorite places for breakfast in the entire Bay Area. I used to come here quite often with old friends and recently started coming back with new ones. The restaurant itself is charming. It feels like it is made just for you to enjoy breakfast and brunch. There's plenty of outdoor seating under umbrellas for you to enjoy the generally nice weather in Burlingame. Inside, it feels airy and comfortable.
I've always loved their skillets and it's nice to see that it hasn't changed. A nice two or three egg with hash browns and sausage always hits the spot too. When you order coffee, it comes in a coffee carafe so that you can refill your own as to not need to flag down a server. When you're enjoying your meal and talking with your party, you sometimes don't want to be bothered and having the coffee right there is convenient.
There are a lot of brunch places out there, but only a few I truly enjoy going to. Stacks is one of those places.
My wife and I were introduced to Stacks several years ago when we came to San Francisco to visit a friend. Every time we are in town we come here to have breakfast. It's our tradition now even more so that we have kids.
The menu is extensive, wait time gets wild after 9:30am. Food is yummy too! Frittata is a must and the lattes are good too! Pancakes are yummy when you're feeling something sweet. Huevos rancheros is also SO good! Like I said the food is yummy. Most come with a bagel but you can change to different bread if you want!
